Badge for Forbes Financial Blog Network.

I already wrote about bloggers network associated by Forbes. Business and Financial Blog Network is planned to be launched at the beginning of year 2008.

There are basically two benefits coming from this partnership. First, some of your posts / articles can be published on Forbes page which lead for higher readership. Second, you will be involved in Forbes advertising program.

Requirements for participation are:

- to have business or finance related blog
- to run two banners ads on your blog (728x90 Leaderboard and 160x600 Skyscraper or 300x250 Rectangle)

All ads management is done via online acount at Adify. Pricing is based on eCPM (effective CPM). Blogger receives 40% of all net revenues collected by Forbes.
Next thing to point out is that as a member of this network you will place Forbes badge to denote membership. Badges are available in 3 variants.

Yes, this is new blogs network. It supposed to be launched at the beginning of 2008. Today I say testing in place of Forbes ads. Therefore I believe it runs very soon.

This week all members of Forbes blog network received official letter about planned launch date. Network should start within 4 - 6 weeks from now on.

This is a great idea. Can any blogger do it? Do you have to be a member of Forbes?

yes, you have to be member of Forbes blog network. They can invite you directly to join network. Or you can apply for membership. Then wait for approval.

Hi Guys,
do you see some progress with Forbes Blogs Network? I have to say I do.
Last month or two I can see sold inventories at 90% !!!!
Just to compare before it varied somewhere between 20-30%..

I wait for your feedback

Vlada

Are you only using 160X600? When I inserted the ads space, it always display a "Join Forbes Network" advertisement even after some times. I have no idea how this works...

Vlada, Czech Republic said... March 14, 2009 at 1:07 PM

I am using 160x600 and also 728x90 at the bottom of my site.
This is requirement from Forbes. At least 2 banners.

What exactly is your problem with Forbes ads?

Maybe I can help you because I had also some issues with banners...

Vlada, Czech Republic said... March 14, 2009 at 2:40 PM

I had problem with HTML code inside of Forbes ads banner. And faced exactly the same behavior as you.
Unfortunately I don't have reply from Adify but they helped me to fix the issue.
Try to send email to help@adify.co.uk and they will help you for sure.

You see now I have been adding there for 2 days but still showing a default ads. I have contacted them and no reply yet. Thinking to give up this if after a week, it still the same.

Weird thing is when I check the report it says I have $0.05 earning. I have no idea how this works.

Hi Vlada,

What is the cpm like with the Forbes ads? I was asked to join about a year ago, but it didn't seem too promising at the time.

Vlada, Czech Republic said... July 22, 2009 at 8:41 PM

Hi Mike.
I would say somewhere around $1 for 1000 impressions. The problem is with high number of unsold inventories. It is usually more than 50%.
It is disappointing for me.

Vlada,

That is pretty bad. They were talking about $10-20 per thousand. Maybe Adsense is the best - although you need people to click on the ads.

Yes. Adsense is much better. Or INO. Do you know INO?
