One of the best performing index of 2007 is Vietnamese VN Index (VNINDEX). Index is composed of all companies listed on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange. From the beginning of calculation (August 2000) its value is ten times more, supported by high number of IPOs (more than 100). Among them milk giant Vietnam Diary Product or bank Sacombank. Also coming privatization of 3 major banks (first Vietcombank). Macroeconomics picture looks bright after the country has become 150. member of World Trade Organization (WTO). But still there are government restrictions like foreign capital can reach up to 30% of Vietnamese company value

Vietnam Securities Trading Center has also connection with Prague Stock Exchange. On October 2006 official agreement was signed off about mutual cooperation (development of derivate financial products, European stock markets regulations etc.).
I tried to find any ETF but found only one fund. The way how to invest in Vietnam is for example via Vietnam Opportunity Fund (VTOPF.PK).
